A standard Aeron lumbar pad supports the curve of your lower back. PostureFit-style support sits lower, at the base of the spine, keeping the pelvis upright so you do not slide into a slouch. This complete PostureFit compatible lumbar kit for the Aeron fits Aeron Classic chairs in Size B or C, whether you are replacing a broken unit or upgrading from the pad.
Compatibility: This kit fits Aeron Classic chairs (produced before 2017). It is compatible with Size B (Medium): 2 dots under the back rim.
Note: Not compatible with Size A (Small).

Two installation tips
- Knob on the right. Mount the adjustment knob on the same side as the height lever so the cable routes correctly.
- Turn the knob to a triangle. Rotate it until one point faces straight up. That leaves room to insert and tighten the mounting screw.

PostureFit or lumbar pad?
If your lower back tires and you catch yourself rounding into a C-shape by the afternoon, the pad is probably supporting too high. PostureFit-style support starts at the sacrum, so the rest of your spine stacks up naturally without you having to think about it.

PostureFit compatible lumbar kit for the Aeron Classic: your questions
Do I need to drill holes to install this kit?
No drilling is required. The cable threads between the strands of the back mesh, a standard step that does not damage the chair.
Which side does the adjustment knob go on?
On the right side of the chair, the same side as the height adjustment lever, so the cable routes correctly.
How do I align the knob for installation?
Turn the knob until it forms a triangle with one point facing up. That leaves enough clearance to insert and tighten the mounting screw.
Is this compatible with Size A chairs?
No. This kit is designed for Size B (medium) and Size C (large) Aeron Classic chairs only.
Should I choose this kit or the PostureFit SL compatible kit?
This kit gives Classic-style PostureFit support, which works at the base of the spine. Choose the PostureFit SL compatible kit if you want the lumbar spine supported as well, or if your chair is an Aeron Remastered.
