Product Highlights

Fix the Sinking Feeling

A functional height lever is crucial for ergonomics. This kit restores the connection between your lever and the gas cylinder, ensuring your chair stays exactly where you set it.

Top-Activated Cylinders

Fits Classic Aeron chairs equipped with a top-activated cylinder. It does not work with older cable-activated cylinders unless you also replace the cylinder itself.

Balance for Perfect Fit

If your chair sinks or rises after install, simply use a hex key to adjust the set screw quarter-turn by quarter-turn until perfectly balanced.

Perfect for Stool Setups

If you are converting your Aeron to a stool, this kit pairs perfectly with our Stool Gas Cylinder to provide proper height control at higher elevations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this work with my Aeron cylinder?

It fits Classic Aeron chairs equipped with a top-activated cylinder (identified by a small button on top). It does NOT work with older cable-activated cylinders unless you also replace the cylinder itself.

Why is my chair sinking or rising by itself after install?

This is normal! You need to "balance" the cylinder pin. Use a hex key to turn the set screw. Adjust until the chair holds weight without sinking but still lifts when you pull the lever.

Can I use this for a stool setup?

Yes. If you are converting your Aeron to a stool, this kit pairs perfectly with our Stool Gas Cylinder to provide proper height control at higher elevations.

Do I need special tools?

Installation is straightforward, but you will need an Allen wrench (hex key) to adjust the set screw for the balancing step mentioned in the video.
