The pad repeats the open grid of the Sayl's suspension back, so the headrest reads as part of the chair rather than an add-on. Once it is bolted on, it sits solidly on the frame and holds your head.
Headrest for Herman Miller Sayl: your questions answered
When will the Sayl headrest ship?
It is on pre-order, and the first headrests are expected to ship in late November.
Does the Herman Miller Sayl come with a headrest?
No. Herman Miller sells the Sayl without one, which is why we offer this headrest.
How does it install?
It bolts onto the Sayl's frame with the hardware in the box; the product photos show where the mount sits.
How do I adjust the height?
Pull out the button on the post to release the lock, then raise the headrest or push it down. The angle is fixed; height is the adjustment.
Will it support my head if I am tall?
The Sayl suits average-height and shorter sitters best. If you are tall, the headrest at its highest setting may sit more at your neck than behind your head.
Can I buy it with a Sayl chair?
Yes. We sell refurbished Herman Miller Sayl chairs; choose one with the lattice back for this headrest.
Questions about your Sayl?
