Made for raised work surfaces
Architects, lab technicians and standing-desk users need a seat that meets a high surface without leaving their feet dangling. The wider base and stainless foot ring keep the stool planted, forward tilt lets you lean into close work, and the 8Z mesh keeps you cool on long shifts. At its lowest setting it is still taller than a standard office chair, so it is meant for drafting tables, benches and standing desks rather than a regular desk.
Lumbar pad or PostureFit SL
Pick the lumbar pad if you want one cushion you can slide to your lower back curve. Pick PostureFit SL if you want two separate pads that support the base of the spine and the lumbar area independently.
The setup video and the A, B, C sizing guide further down help you assemble the stool and choose your size.

Aeron drafting stool: measure your counter or standing desk
Start with the height of the surface where you will work while seated. This stool has an approximately 25" to 34" seat-height range; compare that range with your own workstation. The world's most advanced ergonomic chair reaches standing height in this Aeron Remastered drafting stool, engineered for architects, lab technicians and standing-desk users.

Raised work surfaces
Examples include lab benches around 36", drafting tables at 36" to 40", and standing desks at 38" to 48". Measure your own counter or desk before you choose.
Those bench, drafting-table and standing-desk ranges are perfect for this stool, as are high-top workstations.
For a regular desk
We do not recommend this stool for a standard desk: even its lowest setting is taller than the approximately 21" seat height of a regular office chair, and your feet may not reach the floor comfortably. For that workspace, consider the Aeron Remastered chair.
Mesh and arm adjustments for work at drafting height
Eight zones in the mesh
The 8Z Pellicle suspension uses eight zones of varying tension for support and breathability during work at a raised surface.
Positioning the arms
The arms adjust in height, depth and angle, so the pads can sit right where your forearms rest at a high bench.
Leaning toward the task
Forward tilt is included for close work. The tilt limiter and rear tilt lock provide recline control.
Unlike a basic stool, this one puts those tilt controls together with fully adjustable arms: lean into focused work, then set your recline at the angle that suits you.
Remastered comfort and back support
The updated comfort of 8Z Pellicle mesh and the PostureFit SL option meets a dedicated drafting cylinder and a premium stainless steel foot ring. For maximum support, choose PostureFit SL: its sacral and lumbar pads flex independently, with support set using the rear knob.
Herman Miller Aeron drafting stool: questions buyers ask
What supports the stool at its extended height?
Its base is wider than a standard Aeron base, and the stainless steel foot ring adds rigidity.
Does the refurbishment include the foot ring?
Yes. Our refurbishment process also includes polishing the foot ring.
Every Aeron Stool we sell receives rigorous refurbishment, so it looks and functions like new.
What warranty comes with the stool?
A 2-year mechanical warranty.
We stand behind the quality of our renewed Aeron stools with that coverage. Every stool is Certified Refurbished by OfficeLogixShop, under our own certification.
Is shipping available outside the contiguous US?
Shipping within the contiguous US is free. For other addresses, we ship internationally at the best rates we can get. Either way, the stool comes at our best price.
Which Aeron stool size fits most adults?
Size B fits most adults; Size A is smaller, while Size C offers a wider seat and taller back for larger or taller users.
How does the Remastered stool compare with the Classic?
Both serve raised work surfaces. This Remastered stool brings the newer arm design and forward tilt to that work, while the Aeron Classic drafting stool offers the earlier Aeron design at a lower starting price. Compare the current options and prices on each listing.
I searched for an Aeron in Size C. Is this a chair or a stool?
This listing is the Aeron Remastered drafting stool, sold in Sizes A, B and C with a 25" to 34" seat. For a regular-height Aeron chair in Size C, see our renewed Aeron Remastered chair or the Aeron Classic chair; both are offered in Size C.
