Our latest mesh design no longer includes pre-drilled holes. This change allows the mesh’s natural elasticity to deliver superior tension and durability once installed. Please read the following before installing:
- You will need a drill gun to create the mounting holes during installation.
- If your mesh arrives with a few pre-drilled holes, please disregard them and follow standard installation procedures.
- Due to the mesh's high tension, installation may require firm pressure. Having a second person help is highly recommended.
- Begin by aligning the mesh using the center notch for easier placement.
If the mesh feels slightly loose after installation:
The seat mesh may feel slightly loose due to its natural elasticity. This is normal and can be corrected without removing the mesh:
- Use a heat gun on a low setting, or use an iron with a thin cloth between the iron and the mesh.
- Move the heat source slowly and evenly across the mesh.
- Allow the mesh to cool so the material sets and tightens.
We design the mesh with a little give to make installation easier, since an overly tight mesh can be very difficult to install. Not every seat will require this step, but it ensures a firm, supportive fit if needed.

How do I know if I have a Remastered or Classic Aeron?
The Remastered Aeron (2017+) has a more refined tilt mechanism. The easiest way to tell is the control knobs: Classic Aerons have levers, while Remastered Aerons often have rotary knobs. This mesh fits Remastered Size B and C only.
Does this mesh include the plastic frame or foam?
No. This is the Seat Mesh Fabric Only. It does not include the plastic seat frame or foam insert. You are purchasing the replacement textile to install onto your existing chair frame.
Is professional installation required?
Not necessarily, but it is an "intermediate" DIY project. Because you need to drill your own holes and stretch the mesh tight, we highly recommend having a helper. It is much easier when 1 person stretches the mesh while the other drills.
Why do I need to use a heat gun?
We intentionally engineer the mesh with a small amount of slack to make it physically possible to stretch it onto the frame by hand. Once it is screwed in, applying gentle heat causes the fibers to contract and shrink-wrap onto the frame, giving you that factory-tight suspension feel.
