Where the Embody stops
Designed to mimic the human spine, the Embody has a narrow back that lets you move freely while your spine stays aligned, and its Pixelated Support spreads your weight evenly to help circulation. That back ends below your head. Recline to read, think or take a call, and your neck muscles have to hold your head up on their own.
What our headrest adds
It takes the weight of your head when you lean back, so your neck and upper back can finally let go. We designed it for the Embody's spine alone rather than adapting a universal clamp, and its finish matches the chair's profile so closely that it looks like part of the original design.
Made to stay where you set it
A padded clamp grips the spine, so nothing is drilled and the chair is left unmarked. Inside, an upgraded spring keeps each adjustment smooth and steady, and a firm lock keeps the cushion from creeping backward when you rest your head against it.
Adjusting the Embody headrest in three moves
A headrest only helps if it meets your head where it actually rests. Do this once, sitting the way you normally lean back.
1. Height
Lean back and slide the cushion up or down until it meets the base of your skull, not the back of your neck or the top of your head.
2. Depth
Swing it forward at the lower joint until it just touches your head as you recline. If it pushes your chin down while you sit upright, bring it back a little.
3. Angle
Tilt the cushion at the upper joint until your eyes fall naturally on your screen with your head resting on it. On video calls, you should see the camera without lifting your chin.
If it ever loosens
After months of daily leaning, a headrest can settle. Turn the side knobs by hand to firm it up again; you will not need any tools.
