A torn, stained or worn-out backrest is fixable. This Embody replacement back fabric is cut to the exact shape of the Embody backrest, so it follows the curves of the chair's spine without bunching, and it clips into your existing backrest frame for a tight, factory-like finish. Choose Black Rhythm or Gray Rhythm style.
Fits: All Herman Miller Embody Office Chairs, and the Herman Miller x Logitech Embody Gaming Chair (Note: the color and texture will be different).

How the back fabric goes on
- Take the backrest assembly off the chair first; the fabric clips can't be reached with it in place.
- Take off the old fabric, then use pliers to pull any broken plastic bits out of the holes.
- Start at the bottom of the backrest and work up to the top, so the fabric lines up without mismatches.
- Press each pin in until you hear it click. That click means it is locked.

Is it the fabric, the back itself or the seat?
An Embody backrest can wear in a few different places. Match what you see to the right part before you order.
The back fabric is torn, stained or worn
This replacement cover is the fix. It clips into your existing backrest frame and keeps the Embody's flexible back support.
A plastic antler or the back flap has broken
A new cover will not hold on a broken frame part. See the OEM Embody antler and back flap kit.
The back will not click back into place
That is an installation snag, not a worn part. The fix video in the parts section below shows how to seat it.

Do I need to remove the backrest to change the fabric?
Yes. Remove the backrest assembly from the chair to reach the fabric clips properly. The second video above shows how.
Is this OfficeLogixShop fabric?
Yes. It is our replacement fabric, selected to match the quality and appearance of the Black and Gray Rhythm styles.
What tools do I need for the installation?
A pair of pliers, to pull out any plastic bits the old fabric clips leave behind. No other specialized tools are needed.
How do I know the new fabric is secure?
When you push each pin into its hole you should hear a distinct click. That confirms the fabric is locked in place.
Will this back fabric fit a Logitech G Embody gaming chair?
Yes, it fits the gaming Embody too. Just expect a different color and texture from the back fabric your gaming chair came with.
Which Embody fabric types does this match?
Herman Miller has covered the Embody in more than one fabric type, including Rhythm and Balance.
