Extend the Life of Your Chair

When a favorite seat starts showing its age, you do not need to buy an entirely new one. This is especially true if you own a premium model like a Herman Miller, Steelcase, or Haworth chair. Throwing away a high-quality seat just because of a single broken component is rarely a good financial decision, and doing so creates unnecessary waste.

Upgrading and maintaining your office is easy and highly affordable when you have access to the right office chair parts. Exploring this category is a key step toward sustainability. From fixing a sinking base to adding ergonomic chair accessories, finding reliable replacement parts for office chairs is a smart way to save money.

Our comprehensive selection covers all the essential parts of office chairs, ensuring you can quickly restore your comfort without breaking the bank. Choosing these individual parts keeps your office chair out of the landfill.

Common Office Chair Parts You Can Replace

Even the most durable seats experience wear and tear. A standard seat consists of a five-star base with wheels for stability, a pneumatic gas lift for vertical adjustment, a pan with dense foam for support, a backrest featuring lumbar contouring, and armrests to reduce upper body strain.

Components can get broken from years of daily use, unexpected accidents like sudden extra weight, or even a pet cat clawing at your seat. For mesh models like the Herman Miller Aeron, the seat mesh or back mesh are some of the most common parts that need replacement.

The same applies to the fabric of the Herman Miller Embody. If you use it for intense gaming sessions or extended office hours, that constant friction will eventually take a toll on the material. You will notice similar degradation patterns on the seat cushion and back pad of the Steelcase Leap V2.

Arm pads are another component that frequently requires attention. Because they support your arms and elbows throughout the day, the constant friction from regular use slowly breaks down the outer material. We also see many incidents where a sharp object, such as a watch clasp, a dropped pen, or a desk tool, accidentally slits the padding.

Once that surface is compromised, it ruins both the look and the comfort of the armrest, making a quick replacement highly necessary. Buying new office chair arm pads ensures your daily office tasks stay perfectly supported.

Regardless of the brand, nearly all modern seats share one essential component, which is the gas cylinder. Like any mechanical part, it is prone to malfunctioning over time. The internal seals eventually fail, causing the pneumatic pressure to leak.

This makes complete sense because the cylinder carries all the weight non-stop and is the main component responsible for adjusting the level of the seat. When a chair starts sinking on its own, swapping in a new cylinder is the standard fix.

The base of the seat is another area that takes a lot of abuse. These bases can be made from various materials including nylon, aluminum, and metal, with different sizes available to fit various models. Wheels can easily break or stop rolling smoothly.

However, changing them is not always about fixing damage. Many users actively choose to swap their standard wheels for a different type, opting for soft rollers to protect hard floors or rollerblade wheels for a smoother, quieter glide. If the bottom star frame cracks, an office chair base replacement is much cheaper than buying a whole new office chair.

Replace Worn or Broken Chair Components

Once you identify the issue with your seat, the next logical step is performing the repair. Common issues often involve broken wheels, malfunctioning vertical adjustments, and deteriorated arm padding. For instance, a wobbly chair is usually caused by loose screws, a fractured star base, or a failed cylinder bushing.

Many people hesitate at this stage because they assume fixing high-end office furniture requires specialized mechanical skills. However, the reality is that handling these repairs is incredibly simple. Whether you are removing a stubborn gas cylinder, unscrewing a damaged armrest, or sliding in a new set of wheels, the physical act of swapping out accessories for office chairs usually takes only a handful of minutes.

At OfficeLogixShop, we understand that fixing office furniture is not an everyday task for most people. That is why we provide more than just top quality replacement parts for office chairs. We want you to feel completely confident in your repair.

To support you, we have produced a dedicated video tutorial for almost every replacement part we carry. These clear, step-by-step videos show you exactly how to remove the old piece and install the new one to stay safe during the process. By following our visual guides, anyone can easily replace broken chair parts and restore their seat to perfect condition without any prior experience. Just click play on our guides and follow along.

Improve Comfort and Ergonomics

Fixing your chair by replacing damaged parts is not just an aesthetic choice. It has a direct and immediate impact on your physical health and daily productivity. Regular upkeep can significantly extend the lifespan of your seating, ensuring daily support and keeping your employees safe.

Proactive care helps reduce downtime and physical discomfort, thereby sustaining a productive work environment. When a chair is brand new, every component works together to maintain your posture. Over time, that structural support naturally degrades. If you run a business, keeping your team comfortable in their office space is essential.

Consider the seat mesh or fabric cushion. When these materials stretch out or flatten from years of use, they no longer distribute your weight evenly. Replacing the seat mesh or adding a fresh cushion restores that vital pelvic support, which is critical for preventing lower back pain.

The same functional benefit applies to the office chair arm pads. If the padding is compressed or broken down to the hard plastic beneath, your elbows and forearms bear the brunt of the impact. Installing new armrests instantly removes that tension, which in turn relaxes your shoulders and neck.

Even the gas cylinder plays a massive role in proper ergonomics. If your seat slowly sinks throughout the day, your knees and hips are forced out of their ideal 90 degree alignment. By simply swapping in a reliable replacement cylinder, you guarantee that your chair remains at the exact height required for healthy blood circulation.

Ultimately, investing in the right accessories for office chairs ensures your body gets the functional, structural support it needs to stay comfortable all day long.

Mobility with Casters and Wheels

The base of your seat carries an immense amount of responsibility. Casters and wheels must support the entire weight of the chair and the person sitting in it while providing smooth, effortless movement across various surfaces. Standard hard plastic wheels often fall short.

They can scratch hardwood floors, make annoying grinding noises, and get stuck on carpets. Upgrading your wheels is one of the easiest ways to improve your daily comfort and protect your floors. If you manage an entire office, upgrading chair parts for your team is a smart business move.

When selecting new casters, it is important to match the wheel type to your specific brand and flooring. For example, our 2.5 inch soft replacement wheels are the perfect upgrade for Herman Miller models like the Aeron and Embody. They feature a rubberized tread that glides quietly over hardwood and tile without leaving a single mark.

If you own a Steelcase Leap V2 or Gesture, our larger 3 inch soft wheels are ideal. This extra size improves the glide over small floor gaps and provides excellent clearance on carpets. For the ultimate smooth ride, many users upgrade to roller blade style wheels.

These utilize a soft polyurethane tread and precision ball bearings, allowing you to ditch the plastic floor mats completely. They offer a whisper quiet roll and boast a heavy duty steel construction that safely supports up to 500 pounds. They also feature a universal stem that fits almost any standard brand outside of IKEA models. Every premium office chair deserves good mobility.

Sometimes, you do not want to roll at all. If you need stationary stability for focused tasks or intense gaming, high profile bell glides are the ideal solution. These replace your wheels entirely to keep the seat firmly in place. Our high profile design is crucial because it maintains the proper seating height, ensuring the bottom of your gas cylinder does not scrape against the floor.

Whether you want a silent glide or total stability, finding the right replacement parts for office chairs makes a massive difference in how your furniture performs. Multiple bases and chair parts depend on solid ground contact.

How to Choose the Right Office Chair Replacement Parts

When shopping for new components on this page, the first step is determining whether you are replacing a damaged part or looking to actively upgrade your current setup.

While you can source items directly from original manufacturers like Herman Miller and Steelcase, or through their authorized resellers, you have to keep in mind that these official components usually come with a premium price tag. This is why OfficeLogixShop is the industry leader in replacement parts. We supply fully compatible, high-quality chair parts for much less money. We also serve B2B business needs perfectly.

The cost savings become very clear when you look at how different companies handle repairs. For example, if you want to replace the mesh on your Herman Miller Aeron, you cannot buy just the seat mesh directly from the manufacturer. They require you to purchase the entire seat pan assembly.

At our shop, you can buy a perfectly matched, compatible seat mesh on its own without having to pay for the surrounding frame. A simple click is all it takes to order the exact item. The same principle applies to other brands. If you need a replacement back or seat cushion for your Steelcase Leap V2, you can get a fully compatible version from us for a fraction of the cost.

When it comes to upgrading, there are certain accessories for office chairs that you basically cannot find anywhere else on the market. These OfficeLogixShop exclusives are specifically engineered to modernize older chairs. For instance, we created a special adapter that allows you to upgrade an Aeron Classic lumbar system to the highly sought after PostureFit SL found on the Remastered models.

We also carry a unique adapter to upgrade the Aeron Classic arm pads to the newer Remastered arm pad style. When you combine these exclusive parts with our fully ergonomic headrests, you have everything you need to customize your office chair exactly how you want it. This category is rich with smart choices.

Office Chair Accessories

While standard repairs usually involve swapping out gas cylinders, regular wheels, seats, or backs, adding dedicated accessories is the best way to significantly enhance your daily comfort.

Many people do not realize that several premium models from major brands do not include certain ergonomic features out of the box. That is where our specialized upgrades come in. We carry office chair parts that completely transform your seat.

Fully Ergonomic Headrests

It is surprising how many high-end office chairs do not come with neck support. Even when a manufacturer offers one, such as the headrest for the Steelcase Leap V2, it often feels basic and lacks the fine tuning users actually need.

To solve this, we designed our own exclusive line of fully ergonomic headrests. You can now get a dedicated, perfectly matched headrest engineered specifically for the Herman Miller Aeron Classic, Aeron Remastered, Embody, Mirra 2, Steelcase Leap V2, and Haworth Zody. Finding these chair parts upgrades your home office environment.

PostureFit SL Adapter Kit

If you want the most advanced lumbar support Herman Miller offers without buying a brand new chair, our PostureFit SL Adapter Kit is the perfect solution.

As an OfficeLogixShop exclusive, this custom engineered kit allows you to attach the modern PostureFit SL system to your existing Aeron Classic or Remastered model. The best part is the non-invasive installation. It clips securely onto the frame with absolutely no drilling required, giving you elite spinal alignment while preserving the original condition of your furniture. You can easily shop for this kit online.

Aeron Armpad Hybrid Adapter

The standard Aeron Classic arms only pivot in three basic positions. Our exclusive Aeron Armpad Hybrid Adapter unlocks the full potential of your older chair by letting you install modern Aeron Remastered armpads.

This kit bridges the technology gap, giving you advanced 4D adjustability. You gain smooth vertical sliding for depth control and a fine-tooth gear mechanism for precise angle tuning, bringing modern ergonomics to your trusted seat for a fraction of the cost. These specific office chair parts are absolute game changers.

Embody Style Translucent Casters

If you want to transform the look of your setup, our Embody Style Translucent wheels offer a luxurious, futuristic aesthetic. They feature a transparent side profile and an iconic 3-axis spoke design, delivering premium visual appeal without the massive price tag of original parts.

Beyond their looks, they feature a soft rubberized edge to protect hard surfaces and a specialized tread gap that bites into carpet for a smooth, silent glide. They snap easily into standard bases.

Beyond these custom accessories, OfficeLogixShop remains your reliable source for all core components. Whether you need small hardware like back bolts and bushings, a specific style of arm pads, or complete fabric and mesh replacements, we carry everything required to keep your corporate office chair functioning perfectly.

Buying high-quality office chair parts has never been easier. We provide all the chair parts you need to succeed.

Excellent Product and Great Company to Work With

I've had my headrest for two weeks. I am thrilled with the features and function of the headrest. It works as claimed. There are enough adjustable parts that I can find the perfect fit. The build quality is solid, and it matches my Aeron chair perfectly.

I am even more impressed with the company. I had a problem setting up my headrest (user error) and emailing them. I got a response within an hour, along with a video showing me exactly how to remedy my situation.

I'm sure that I'll be please with my headrest for years to come.

Much appreciated upgrade

I randomly searched to see if third party (Leap V2) headrests existed after the billionth time of regretting not springing for one over a decade ago. My chair is in great condition and I adore it so I wasn’t about to toss it to get one with a headrest.

This product is wonderful! It’s less expensive than what steelcase had wanted. It installed in just a minute or two with convenient, easy to grip thumb-screws. I didn’t need to get a tool or have my husband help. I’m disabled so sometimes I need help.

Now? I can lean back in my chair, rest my head and give my neck and shoulders a much needed break.
Ahhhh. Relief!!

Thank you for a fantastic product! I’m a very happy customer.

Comfy

As this is the only mirra 2 headrest in existence it doesn't have much competition, however I don't think it needs it. The headrest is very comfy having a range of adjustment options and features a sturdy design. I only wish the price was lower but I understand manufacturing costs are high on such a niche product and it definitely feels high quality and rigid.
