Assembling the Nova Logix Chair
A Standing Desk Chair With Neck and Lumbar Support
A standing desk changes how you spend the day, but you still sit for part of it, and those hours are when a chair earns its place.
Neck Support You Don't Have to Add
The Nova's mesh back rises 32 inches or more above the seat and ends in a cushioned neck support, so there's no separate headrest to buy or adjust. Lean back for a long call and your head has somewhere to go. The Italian Donati mechanism tilts smoothly and holds any angle once you lock it.
Lumbar Support Where Your Back Curves
Behind the mesh, a Y-shaped frame carries a lumbar support you can move up or down within a 5-inch range, so you can set it right at the curve of your lower back.
Mesh That Breathes
The back is Taiwanese mesh, which lets air move through it during a long stretch at the desk.
How to Set Up Your Standing Desk and Chair
Adjust the chair first, then bring the desk to you. You only do it once, because the keypad remembers your heights.
- Seat height. Set the Nova so your feet rest flat on the floor with your thighs about level.
- Seat depth. Slide the seat in or out until a gap about two or three fingers wide is left behind your knees.
- Lumbar. Raise or lower the lumbar support until you feel it in the small of your back.
- Sitting height. Relax your shoulders, bend your elbows to about 90 degrees, and move the desk until the bamboo top meets your forearms. Save this height as a preset.
- Standing height. Stand and roll the chair back. With your elbows again at about 90 degrees, raise the desk until the top meets your forearms, and save that as a second preset.
From then on, the two presets take you between sitting and standing.

Standing Desk and Chair Bundle: Your Questions
Is this a good standing desk and chair setup for a tall person?
Yes. The desk's 30 to 49 inch range suits people about 5'10" to 6'9" tall. The Nova suits taller users too: its seat rises to 22.5 inches and slides forward for longer thighs, and its back is at least 32 inches tall, measured from the seat. If you are shorter than about 5'10", compare the desk's 30-inch lowest height with the desk you use now before you order.
Will the Nova's armrests fit under the desk?
Yes, with the arm pads lowered. They go down to 26.2 inches from the floor, and even at the desk's lowest setting the underside of its 3/4-inch top sits at 29.25 inches, about 3 inches above them, so they can tuck under the front edge.
How long does assembly take?
About 15 to 20 minutes for the chair, and the video above walks you through every step. The desk goes together separately, once both of its boxes are in.
Can I buy the chair or the desk separately?
Yes. The Nova Logix and the bamboo standing desk each have their own page, and if you already own a frame, the Jarvis bamboo top is sold on its own as well.
