Why a Jarvis Bamboo Top
Jarvis started at Fully in Oregon and is now part of the Herman Miller collection. Bamboo was its signature top, picked for how it looks and because it grows back fast, and no two tops share the same grain. At 27 inches deep it is a little shallower than the common 30 inch desk, which helps where floor space is tight.
Just the Desktop, or the Desktop With a Base?
This listing is the bamboo top by itself. If you also need something to stand it on, the same top comes on our white electric base as a complete desk, and the base is sold alone too.
| Compare | This top only | Complete bamboo desk | White electric frame |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | $275 | $450 | $299.90 |
| Includes | Just the desktop | Top and electric base, ready to use | The base, for a top you already have |
| Pick it if | Your frame is already set up | You are starting from nothing | You only need the lift |
This top plus the frame alone would come to $574.90; the complete desk costs $124.90 less, so it is the better buy if you need both.
