Headrest for the Herman Miller Mirra 1: price and pre-order
Your $127.50 goes to the people who make the headrest: it reaches you without a distributor or a reseller in the chain.
Headrest fit check before you pre-order: Mirra 1 or Mirra 2?
This headrest fits the first-generation Mirra only, and at a glance the two generations look much alike. The fastest check is the spine at the back of the chair; the video also covers the hip bolts, the mechanism and other small differences.
The headrest for Herman Miller Mirra 1 chairs, seen on the chair
Five photos of the headrest on a graphite Mirra 1: from the front, from the side and from behind.

The cushion, right above the back
From the front, the cushion sits centered just over the top of the Mirra 1's back, where the chair's own support stops.

Made to look like part of the chair
Created specifically for the Mirra's ergonomics and appearance, with a graphite frame that matches the chair's own finish.

The arm, in profile
In profile, the arm curves up above the Mirra 1's back and holds the cushion at its top end.

Headrest for the original Mirra: a buyer's checklist
Pre-ordering means buying before it ships, so it pays to check these eight points first. Our answers are on the right.
| What to check | Why it matters | OfficeLogixShop headrest |
|---|---|---|
| Made for your exact chair | The Mirra 1 and Mirra 2 backs are built differently, so check which one a headrest is made for. | Yes: Mirra 1 only |
| Installs without tools or drilling | The Mirra 1 has been out of production since 2013, so its back is worth keeping exactly as it is. | Yes: by hand, no drilling |
| Works with the chair's movement | The Mirra's back flexes as you move; a headrest should not fight it. | Yes: the back keeps its flex |
| Looks like part of the chair | On an office chair this recognizable, an add-on in the wrong color shows from across the room. | Yes: graphite, like the chair |
| Warranty included | Find out how long the headrest itself is covered, and whether that costs extra. | Yes: two years |
| Your chair's warranty stays intact | If your Mirra 1 still has Herman Miller warranty cover, a headrest should leave it untouched. | Yes: it does not void it; nothing is drilled, damaged or changed |
| A fair price | Check the price and any shipping charge to your address before you pre-order. | $127.50 |
| A proven track record | Look at the maker's experience with headrests for other chairs. | Yes: thousands of our headrests for other chairs are in use |
Headrest for Herman Miller Mirra 1: what to know before you pre-order
When will the Mirra 1 headrest ship?
The estimated ship date is December 15, 2026.
Is this a proven headrest?
This Mirra 1 model is new, so it has no track record of its own yet. Its maker does: thousands of OfficeLogixShop headrests for other chairs are already in use.
How do I know if I have a Mirra 1 or a Mirra 2?
Look at the back of the chair. On a Mirra 1, the spine meets the backrest as two prongs fixed with bolts near the top. On a Mirra 2, the spine and back are one piece, and an oval frame runs around the whole top of the back. Our Mirra 1 vs Mirra 2 video on this page shows where to look. The Mirra 2 replaced the original Mirra in 2013, so a chair made before then is a Mirra 1. The label under the seat shows when your chair was made. If you are still not sure, contact us with a photo of the back of your chair before you pre-order and we will tell you which headrest fits.
Will it fit a Mirra 2?
No. This headrest is made for the first-generation Mirra only. For the Mirra 2, choose our Mirra 2 headrest.
Did the Herman Miller Mirra come with a headrest?
No. Herman Miller sold the Mirra without a headrest; this one was made to add what the chair left out.
How does it install, and can I remove it?
It attaches to the back of the Mirra without tools or permanent modifications, and installation takes just a few minutes: the bracket's knurled knobs turn by hand. It can be removed if needed, but frequent removal is not recommended, to avoid wear on the attachment mechanism.
Will adding it affect my Herman Miller warranty?
No. It does not void your Herman Miller warranty, because it does not damage or alter the chair: there is no drilling, and it can be removed if needed. In the US, the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(c)) also generally does not allow a manufacturer to make its warranty depend on using only its own branded accessories.
What comes in the box?
One headrest with its standard insert. It comes without the chair.
What warranty does it have?
2-year coverage is included and protects against defects. Accidents and normal wear are not covered; full terms are on our warranty page.
Can I buy it together with a Mirra 1 chair?
Yes. We sell the Herman Miller Mirra 1 refurbished, on its own as the Mirra (V1) chair or in a bundle with this headrest. In the bundle, the headrest is on pre-order too.
Do you ship for free?
Free shipping covers the lower 48 states once your headrest ships. Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico pay a shipping charge, and abroad we use the best available international rates.
