Why the back has no frame
Most mesh chairs stretch fabric across a rigid rim, and you feel that rim when you twist or lean. The Fern removes it. Its three-part back is carried by a flexible stem, calibrated fronds and a cradle that move together, so support follows your spine from upright to reclined and pressure spreads across the whole back. This model relies on that suspension rather than a separate lumbar pad, and it has no forward tilt; we list both plainly so you know exactly what you are getting.
