In this guide, we’ll show you how to upgrade your Herman Miller Aeron Remastered with a PostureFit SL. Even if your chair originally came with lumbar support, a static PostureFit, or no support at all. Thanks to our soon-to-be patented adapter, this upgrade requires no drilling or modifications, just a seamless, easy installation.
Tools Needed
- OfficeLogixShop PostureFit SL Kit (includes adapter, screws, and OEM Herman Miller PostureFit SL)
- Screwdriver
Step 1: Remove the Existing Bracket
Before we begin, remove any existing lumbar support or PostureFit system from the back of your chair. The PostureFit SL included in this kit is an OEM Herman Miller part, ensuring a perfect match with your Aeron’s color and design.
Step 2: Attach the Bracket to the Adapter
A) Identify the correct orientation
- The adapter mounts to the bottom part of the back frame
- The inner side of the bracket should face upward
B) Align the bracket with the adapter and insert the first screw
- Lightly tighten it, but don’t fully secure it yet
C) Align the second hole on the bracket and press it tightly against the adapter
- Insert and fully tighten the second screw
D) Go back to the first screw and fully tighten it
Step 3: Mount the Bracket onto the Chair Frame
A) Lift the adapter slightly and push it into place on the bottom part of the frame
B) Ensure it locks securely into position
Step 4: Attach the PostureFit SL
A) Insert the prominent part of the bracket into the gap on the PostureFit SL
B) Slide the PostureFit SL into place
C) Snap the bottom hook into the bracket
💡 Pro Tip: Push the hook firmly until you hear a click This ensures the PostureFit SL is locked in place
Step 5: Optional Secure with Bolts
For extra stability, you can use the included bolts
A) Insert the bolts into the designated holes on the adapter
B) Gently tighten them, avoiding over-tightening to prevent damage
📌 Note: Try the installation without the bolts first to see if additional support is needed
